Albuquerque, New Mexico, Minimum Wage Increases to $9.20

Implementation Date: January 1, 2019

Effective January 1, 2019, the minimum wage in Albuquerque, New Mexico, increases from $8.95 per hour to $9.20 per hour (or $8.20 for employers that provide employees healthcare and/or childcare benefits with an annualized cost of at least $2,500) under an annual inflation adjustment required by the city's minimum wage ordinance. The minimum direct cash wage for tipped employees increases from $5.35 per hour to $5.50 per hour. The adjustments are based on the change in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers between August 2017 and August 2018.
