  • In addition to the federal antidiscrimination laws, Tennessee employers must comply with the state antidiscrimination law, the Tennessee Disability Act (formerly the Tennessee Handicap Act). See Tennessee Disability Act.
  • Tennessee permits the use of medical marijuana under very limited circumstances. See Medical Marijuana.
  • The City of Nashville, together with Davidson County, Tennessee has enacted an ordinance prohibiting government contractors from discriminating on the basis of disability. See Nashville Government Contractor Anti-Discrimination Ordinance.
