  • Violence in the workplace can occur through many avenues. It might be a disgruntled ex-employee coming back for revenge, a violent spouse going after a current employee, an upset customer, a criminal committing a crime such as robbery or a current employee who is frustrated.
  • Employers should take extra precautions to recognize the signs of violence in employees and to secure the building through such means as cameras, identification badges and secure locks.
