  • Maryland does have trade secret protections. See Trade Secrets.
  • The Maryland Personal Information Protection Act requires a business that owns, licenses or maintains computerized data containing personal information to make reasonable efforts to protect that information and to notify affected residents if a breach occurs. See Data Breaches.
  • Maryland allows employers to set policies on guns and weapons in the workplace. See Guns and Weapons in the Workplace.
  • Maryland's peace order law permits an employer to file a petition with the District Court of Maryland for a peace order for acts or threatened acts of violence against an employee in the employer's workplace. See Acts of Violence.
