DOL Overtime Rule Workplace Resource Center
The US Department of Labor (DOL) has issued a new overtime rule that will increase the minimum salary for most overtime-exempt employees from its current level of $684 per week (or $35,568 per year) to:
- $844 per week (or $43,888 per year) on July 1, 2024; and
- $1,128 per week (or $58,656 per year) on January 1, 2025.
Starting July 1, 2027, and every three years thereafter, the salary threshold will be adjusted for inflation.
