Exit Interview Policy

When to Use
Exit interviews are one of the employer's best tools to gather information about the workplace that it otherwise may not have access to. Employees poised to leave the organization are in a prime position to provide candid, constructive insight into employment practices, supervisor management effectiveness and even waste of important resources or time. Given the importance of exit interviews and the valuable information they may provide, it is crucial for employers to adopt a written policy regarding its preference to conduct exit interviews and to inform employees of the importance of participating in exit interviews well before they are to occur.
