Leave Law Changes Take Effect January 1: Japan Guide Updated

The employee rights section of the Japan employment law guide has been updated to incorporate information on changes taking effect January 1, 2017, relating to:
- Fixed term workers' eligibility to take parental leave;
- Fixed term workers' eligibility to take family care leave;
- Greater flexibility for employees to intersperse periods of work with family care leave; and
- The units in which family care leave may be taken.
