Paid Sick Leave Ordinance Coming to Eugene, Oregon: Employment Law Manual Updated

The Eugene, Oregon, city council has voted to proceed with a paid sick leave ordinance that would apply to all employers with employees working within the City of Eugene, effective July 1, 2015. The council will prepare the final draft of the ordinance for public hearing and a subsequent vote to take place by the end of July 2014. Information has been added to Oregon's Other Leaves and FMLA Employment Law Manual sections, which will be updated as the ordinance progresses.
