  • Arkansas does not currently require state family and medical leave for employees of private sector employers. See Family and Medical Leave.
  • If an employer provides maternity or paternity time off to biological parents, it must, upon request, make the same time off available to employees who adopt a child. See Adoptive Parents.
  • Arkansas employers with nine or more employees cannot discriminate against an employee on account of pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions with respect to obtaining and holding of employment. See Pregnancy Disability Leave.
