How to Comply with California's Pay Data Reporting Rule

California's pay data reporting law requires certain employers to submit data detailing their employees' compensation, job category, and hours worked by race, sex and ethnicity to the state Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) each year. A covered employer must submit a report covering the prior calendar year (the reporting year) by March 31 of each year.
