California Paid Sick Leave Notice Provisions Take Effect: Various Tools Updated

California's new paid sick leave law has several notice-posting provisions that take effect on January 1, 2015. The provisions of the law that specifically allow for employees to accrue paid sick time will take effect on July 1, 2015.
In light of these developments, the following resources in the Policies and Documents Tool have been added:
- California Paid Sick Leave Poster; and
- California Notice to Employee, Labor Code Section 2810.5 (the state wage notice).
In addition, the following sections of the Employment Law Manual have been updated:
- Employee Communications: California;
- FMLA: California;
- New Hire Paperwork: California; and
- Other Leaves: California.
Finally, the Paid Sick Leave by State and Municipality and the California Workplace Labor and Employment Law Posters charts have been updated.
